Attending choir is very important for you and your classmates alike. Being in class ensures that you know the music as well as the details of upcoming events. Students receive 5 points per day for participation in class. Not singing, improper attitude, or breaking class/school rules will affect these daily points. Performances are a large part of the final grade as well. Missing a choir performance is like attending every volleyball or football practice, but then missing the game! When one person is missing from a performance, it affects the entire group! Absences from performances will only be excused if a parent note is received within one week of the date of absence. However, excused absences must still be made up through extra credit work! (Unexcused absences can not be made up.)

*Extra credit assignments are available to make up daily participation/performance points for excused absences.

Final Grades are based on the following:

Daily Participation/Attitude -35%

Performances/Audience behavior- 35%

In- Class Work (Permission slips/Assignments/Tests) 30%
